The 20’s: Past and Present Fundraiser in August

This August, GPIH will be partnering with “Spotlight Your Event” for the first time ever to host The 20’s: Past and Present Fundraiser Event. The fundraiser will be to benefit the “Hope for Togo” project in West Africa, and our goal is to raise $30,000 to fund two clean water wells in Togo. These water wells will deliver clean water to Togolese families who currently have limited access to water.

Global Partners in Hope was invited to join the “Spotlight Your Event” group about a year ago as an opportunity for local businesses to give back. More specifically, “Spotlight Your Event” is a networking group of local companies in Omaha that have created this event to support local philanthropy. Fortunately for us, they chose Global Partners in Hope! The partnered group has found passion for delivering clean water to those who have limited access, primarily those in Africa. The creators of the event are Staybridge Suites Omaha West and Spotlight Formal Wear. Other members of the group come from other companies around Omaha in businesses such as retail, insurance, tourism, and more. Because the group consists of many backgrounds, we are excited to see each member’s special talents brought to life in August!

The event will be hosted at the historic Field Club of Omaha, but upon arrival, guests will travel back in time to the roaring 20’s by entering into a jazzy speakeasy club. With live music, 20’s dance lessons, hor d’oeuvres, drinks, and desserts from the 1920’s and 2020’s you’d think you are attending one of Gatsby’s parties! The event will also have an auction with baskets donated by local businesses and sponsors. On top of everything, there will be a special guest speaker who will be delivering their testament about the lives GPIH has changed through access to clean water due to the “Hope for Togo” project. Not only will the event be the party of the century, but it will help change the lives of those in need of clean water in Togo.

It is not too late for any local businesses in the Omaha area to get involved as a partner or donor for the event, and there is also still some room available for those who would like to attend as guests. If you are interested in getting involved or attending our event in August please feel free to visit our Facebook event page to learn more, or click on this link to purchase tickets!
